Miss Eeyore takes a free period

Dumb Jon demonstrates  the intellectual elite has no skin in the game nor much of anything in the brain, but how well does our remote ruling class perform in the field?

Tragically, ‘the elite’ goes pretty far down the food chain.

Take Rotherham, for example, where upwards of 1,400 girls were raped and indeed whored across the Pennines by Muslim rape gangs and their white collaborators for 16 years that operated with impunity under the watchful (and protective) eyes of the police. See also.

Those girls should have had the full force of the therapeutic state to protect them.
Leaving aside the foster home and care homes who let the girls go out to the cars of their rapists, night after night, without reporting it or following any reports they might have made to police, schools or social services, as well as the police who on occasion let the rape gangsters go while referring their drink-plied victims to alcohol abuse authorities – and how useless a copper do you have to be to let obvious child molesters walk away unscathed? - let’s look at the professionals who were most likely to see most of the children in a variety of activities and contexts day after day week after week, and not merely hiding terrified in their bedrooms and thus perhaps difficult to diagnose: our splendid educators.

Teachers are supposed to be trained in the spotting and confirmation of child abuse and should have noticed something more than the usual teenage stroppiness or underclass dysfunction, for example. Child abuse is pretty much a national obsession and with numerous training courses available to local government and awareness campaigns run even at Town Hall level, you’d think that the hundreds of class, year and specialist teachers who would have met and taught these girls some at least should have noticed something hinky, no?
If any did, I’ve yet to read their names. But if a 100% failure rate to detect child abuse beggars belief, can we assume that some teachers did notice the mood swings, violent anger, passivity and depression that child abuse manifests as in the young? If some weren’t so gormless as to not notice, to whom did they report their suspicions? Did some perhaps decide not to report the answers to any questions they may have asked those girls … when they learned the names of the perpetrators Arshid Hussain, Basharat Hussain, Bannaras Hussain, Qurban Ali?

Oh and did chav class whore-mongers Karen MacGregor and Shelley Davis get a pass by association with the vibrantly diverse or did nice Miss Simpkins at the Social Services just have too much paperwork to notice: let alone rock the boat?
Oh, and is it too late to blame the dreaded Thatcher tick-box culture here in 2016?
Probably not.
A mate of mine found the time and energy to put bureaucracy down as a big reason why the social workers didn't get around to reporting and kicking up the appropriate stink until the scandal was well and truly public.
See how that works? Thatcher leaves office in 1990 and the entire social services apparatus of South Yorkshire is paralysed from 1997 and 2013 as 1,400 living, breathing, crying, hung-over, pregnant, STD-infected, truanting and self-harming girls just slip through the cracks because Saffron Oldthwaite of Child Protection is filling in another batch of PJ/144-Bs. Could happen to anyone.

Back to the teachers. Can a handful at least have realised what was going on? If so, to whom did they report or make further investigations? Send it up the line to year or welfare specialists? The headmistress – oops, head teacher – herself?
Were they told to shut up – and obeyed orders? If so, there’s two sackings right there we can probably all agree on, but does anyone know how much (if any) effort has been taken to examine the teachers’ conduct and ‘leadership’ over the decade and a half of rape victims? Has anything at all been done to allow teachers to report the misdemeanours of Muslims?

Where is our wise and financially well off high-up leadership caste now: drilling down to find and fix the rot (at the least in training) in our front line troops of child abuse detection?

For all the mental/moral dysfunction of British military leadership over the past couple of centuries, and despite the institutional bias against initiative and innovative problem-solving and the use of intelligence when intelligence reports threaten the Great Plan, Britain did eventually win the Crimean, Boer, First and Second World Wars and put down the Mutiny: possibly because of the sterling qualities and good sense of the lower ranks, no matter how nutso some of our generals were.

But what chance is there that Britain can win (or would even fight) a war against mass rape when even the privates and corporals are away with the fairies?

Fry’s Turkish delight

Polymath and Olympic-standard bien-pensant Stephen Fry puts the boot in against the Daily Mail.

Of course I know Putin isn’t Hitler. But then Hitler wasn’t the full Hitler we now think of in back in 1935 either. The death camps and atrocities were years away. He became the Hitler of 1939 because we never stopped him. All historians agree now on how doubtful and uncertain he was in 35, 36, 37, and 38. The occupation of the Rheinland provinces of Alsace Lorraine and the annexation of Austria went unchallenged. The Olympic games reinforced his huge status at home.

Nor was Stalin the full Stalin in 1920. True terrible bloody leaders become so because they are not stopped. The last four lines of W. H. Auden’s The Tyrant come to mind:
Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Franco and any other despot you care to mention: they become despotic, maniacal, more autocratic, more insane every time they are given a greater sense of their own power. The fanatical junior KGB officer Vladimir Putin will become, if he is allowed to get away with it, as autocratic as any Tsar or any Soviet chairman. Vladimir the Terrible will have blood on his hands. He already does, but there will be so so much more. Little children will die in the streets. All power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. That saying is so well-known it’s hardly worth repeating. You would think…

So he’s a neoconservative, too!

I agree with his implicit retrospective wish that the British and Allied expeditionary forces against the Bolsheviks in 1918-20 had been successful in the hope of preventing the Red Terror and its ideological contagion spreading as it did with a 100,000,000+ worldwide body count by the time of the fall of the Iron Curtain.
I’m also bang alongside his wish that the Allies had crossed the Rhine a decade earlier than they did to overthrow the result of the 1933 German elections and impose a government not fundamentally ideologically committed to conquering the world, suppressing women and killing Jews. That would have involved ignoring the peace-lovers of Left and Right, and siding with the alarmist ultranationalist, proto-Tommy Robinson, Winston Churchill. That lout.  See how the cast of peace heroes has not changed much in seventy years or so.

I wish he’d get with the same programme regarding the little global difficulty we’re facing right now.

Perhaps we’d better hold the Olympics somewhere in the Middle East.

Only overwhelming and ruthless military force could have prevented either socialist empire consolidating the ambitions that were explicit in their founding documents. But in the long run the West lacked the resolve so the totalitarians racked up a 150,000,000 death toll, including genocides, police states and their wars of mutual aggression.

On the other hand, Fry is bang to rights about the Daily Mail.

You only have to take a stroll through many of our major cities to witness what a paradise of multicultural neighbourliness, respect for women, respect for private and public property, freedom of conscience and the rule of law that ignoring the Daily Mail has made the western world into.

I for one just can’t wait until we get our fair share of Bulgarian and Rumanian gypsies. I’m sure they’ll fit right in with the law-abiding and settled British ones who live amongst us peacefully now (No irony intended, great grandmother.)

Besides, someone has to put to good use all those unused houses, empty hospital beds, echoing GP surgeries, oceans of spare tax revenues and unspent benefits money and unoccupied school places that are cluttering up the country.

Technical hitch

The BBC alludes to a technical hitch in the Swedish government’s attempts in 2007 to ‘promote understanding’ between Muslims and their naughty neighbours.

The story is in the news again because of this.

Seven people have been arrested in the Irish Republic over an alleged plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist for depicting the Prophet Muhammad, police say.

Nice of the BBC to clarify they weren’t planning to kill a Swedish cartoonist for depicting any of all those other Muhammeds that there seem to be so many of in the news these days.

.

The four men and three women are all Muslim immigrants, according to media reports, though a police statement did not confirm this.

Cartoonist Lars Vilks had depicted the Prophet Muhammad with the body of a dog in the Nerikes Allehanda newspaper.

Islamic militants put a $100,000 (£67,000) bounty on his head.

Now, now, that’s not militancy.

It’s open-handedness perhaps, or high-rolling, or free-spending, or falling short of the ecumenical ideal, but putting up money to kill a human being for drawing a cartoon can’t fairly be called ‘militancy.’

I just wish that the BBC or I could think of a better word for it...

Ah, well.

Mr Vilks was quoted as saying he was unfazed by the arrests, which he said he thought could be linked to two death threats he had received by telephone in January.

I don’t know about you , but I’d like a little context about how a man under several death threats and whose life had been actively plotted against feels ‘unfazed,’ relaxing though the BBC makes it all sound. But with a tiny £800,000,000 per year news budget, I don’t suppose that the BBC had the resources to answer such a question. Or pose it.

Or conceive of it.

RTE said those in custody were originally refugees from Morocco and Yemen, but had gained asylum and were in the Republic of Ireland legally.

You know, one think I’d just hate would be to be slaughtered like a lamb by having my throat cut by someone who didn’t have the proper paperwork.

"I'm not shaking with fear, exactly," he told Swedish news agency TT after Tuesday's arrests.

"I have prepared in different ways and I have an axe here in case someone should manage to get in through the window."

I have got to get some of that Swedish stuff, whatever it is, and start taking it now.

He sounds so relaxed, you know? He doesn’t seem fazed at all by the thought of what the other six would have done whilst he was trying to dislodge the axe from the flopping body of Assailant Number One.

In 2007 a group linked to al-Qaeda in Iraq offered a $100,000 reward for killing Mr Vilks, and a 50% bonus if he was "slaughtered like a lamb" by having his throat cut.

It offered another $50,000 for the murder of Ulf Johansson, editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper, Nerikes Allehanda.

At this point, one might expect the BBC to invite comments, and open a Have your Say page with a title like;

Have you ever been threatened with death by exsanguination or beheading by Muslims for producing a cartoon or any other item of edgy popular culture? We’d like to hear your story.

Of course, one would only expect that in a world where humans had directly evolved from dinosaurs or in which Michael Foot’s slanders of the anti-Appeasement Tories never became part of official history, but not in this, fallen world of ours.

Oh, and the BBC helpfully explains what might have inspired seven human being to plan to murder someone who drew a cartoon, and also provides some much-needed context at last:

In January, one of the cartoonists whose drawing appeared in Jyllands-Posten, the Dane Kurt Westergaard, was targeted in his own home, allegedly by a Somali radical Muslim with an axe.

Mr Westergaard, who escaped unharmed, had depicted the Prophet Muhammad with a bomb in his turban.

Mr Vilks told The Associated Press news agency that the telephone threats in January had come from "a Swedish-speaking Somali. He reminded me about what had happened to Westergaard and threatened with a follow-up and that 'now it's your turn'."

.

So far, so dhimmi.

But the BBC droid then mentions this:

At the time, Swedish officials expressed regret at any hurt caused to Muslims' feelings, but said the government could not prevent the publication of such drawings because of media freedom rules.

To clarify this, you can follow a side link to this piece from 2007.

Sweden's Prime Minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt, has met ambassadors from 22 Muslim countries in an effort to defuse a row about a Prophet Muhammad cartoon…

Mr Reinfeldt said he told the ambassadors that under the Swedish constitution, politicians were not allowed to "interfere with how the media [works] and what it chooses to publish".

Hear that sound?

That’s the sound of the liberal world government (eastern Scandinavian Branch) admitting that a minor technicality alone prevented them from allowing the head-lopping, bomb-planting, child-murdering, Jew-hating Religion of Peace from silencing another mild (and possibly ironic) allusion to something Islamic.

I was born in a country and to a civilisation that had beaten fascism and Nazism and whose leadership were at least prepared to pay lip service to the idea that freedom of expression is a valuable human right: not one in which a head of government apologizes that religio-political tyranny in Sweden has been delayed by some trivial technical detail such as the national constitution.

It won’t be delayed for long.

The Empire gives up

C-3PO: He made a fair move. Screaming about it can't help you.

Han Solo: Let him have it. It's not wise to upset a Wookiee.

C-3PO: But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid.

Han Solo: That's 'cause droids don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookiees are known to do that.

Chewbacca: Grrf.

C-3PO: I see your point, sir. I suggest a new strategy, R2: let the Wookiee win.

At last our political class has its victory in Afghanistan.

I don’t mean the surrender or deaths of the last Taliban terrorists after the recent Sri Lanka Tamil fashion – or even the on the Malayan Emergency model or like the suppression of the Mau Mau.

No: our crypto-pacifist Foreign Office, with its long history of Arabism and appeasement and its worship of internationalism above national interest with its anti-Semitic assumptions amongst some of its senior staff; plus our grovelling rulers with their acceptance of radical Islamists as long as they are not directly physically attacking British subjects on the mainland and a media and intellectual class that accepts most of the assumptions of our country’s enemies, is right up there along with the brilliant idea that they have long clearly desired, to talk to and offer generous terms to the enemies of civilisation.

Joining none of the dots: having not understood the meaning and the deep, permanent relevance of the imperialist demands of the Koran to orthodox faithful Muslims; and having failed to recognise what allowing these most extreme of Muslim terrorists and woman-haters into some share of power and international funding will mean to what’s left of freedom in the post-Taliban country; let alone what lesson the rest of the world’s Islamic supremacists will draw from this lack of resolve and surrender by the Western powers, it looks like they’re going for the good old-fashioned surrender disguised as political wisdom and diplomatic savvy. They’ve clearly always wanted to throw the towel in, and only Tony Blair and his shrinking heritage plus also some small support for our side of the war from the Tories and some voters have delayed this short-sighted betrayal for so long.

They’re condemning yet another generation of Afghanistan’s children to the rule of bearded, abusive crazies who are sure to send their teenage suicide bombers abroad to wreak havoc wherever they can…and prolonging our side of the war because if you think that ‘moderate Taliban’ - like ‘moderate Islamists’ - means anything other than prepared to delay for a while in order to regroup and rearm, and by trusting them at all you’d have to be mad yourself.

Typical.

Sorry about scarcity of posting lately. I’ve been: A) spending some time with my invisible (and quite possibly imaginary) new friend, and therefore B) spending extra with several of my flesh-and-blood friends who need cheering up, and C) starting a late winter holiday and having a recharge. I hope to return to my usual diet of knuckle-dragging and clinically insane Right-wingery, invective and spite from now on, Insha'Allah, but now with added mercy and forgiveness in short, economical bursts.

Arbeit Matt Frei

This is the BBC. 26 September 1940.

Seán Lester: German reconstruction not being addressed Germans have not been able to obtain building supplies to repair damage.

League of Nations Secretary General Seán Lester has said more must be done to repair damage done in Alsace-Lorraine by British military action one year ago.
Mr Lester said Germans were being denied "basic human rights" and urged Britain to end its "Uncceptable and counterproductive blockade".
He said British well-being depended on conditions improving in the Continent.
Rallies are being held across Germany to mark a year since the conflict, in which 14,000 Europeans were killed.

In comments printed on the League's news magazine, Mr Lester said he was "deeply concerned that neither the issues that led to this conflict nor its worrying aftermath are being addressed".
He said that while levels of violence had been low in the past year, there was still no durable ceasefire after The Norwegian Campaign and Germans were "denied basic human rights".
"The quality and quantity of humanitarian supplies entering Greater Germany is insufficient, broader economic and reconstruction activity is paralysed," said Mr Lester.
Under Britain's blockade of Europe, only basic humanitarian supplies are allowed in, meaning Germans have not been able to obtain materials to repair damaged homes, buildings and infrastructure.

The League Commission for Refugees (LCR) in Germany told the BBC that public health was suffering as a result of inadequate and unsanitary water supplies, and there had been a rise in infant mortality. LCR spokesman Cristoforo Martini said thousands of tons of sewage were being pumped into the North Sea every day, because material for rebuilding treatment plants and other facilities was so scarce.
An international humanitarian aid convoy of some 200 vehicles is hoping to mark the anniversary by delivering supplies to Germany. The convoy is currently in Sweden, awaiting permission to cross the Baltic Sea and proceed to Denmark.

The National Socialist Party, which controls Germany, is holding 22 days of rallies to mark the anniversary.
Senior leader Joseph Goebbels said Germans remained "steadfast" after the conflict
"The resistance, which defended its land with honour, was not broken," the AFP news agency quoted him as saying.

Mr Lester called on Britain to end its blockade, uphold international law and make it possible for economic activity and civilian reconstruction to take place. He also urged The National Socialist Party to respect the law and bring an end to violence, and for all Europeans to "work for unity".
He said there was "a sense of hopelessness in Germany today for 70 million Germans, half of whom are under 18" and that "a fundamentally different approach to Germany is urgently required".
"Their fate and the well-being of Britain are intimately connected."

The BBC's Diana Mitford in Berlin said the mood on the anniversary of the Poland Campaign was relatively quiet, but uneasy.
Both Britain and Germans in Europe believe 1941 is bound to bring further violence, our correspondent adds.

And I didn’t have to change very much at all.

'fony war

Of all the fully-clothed things that I've been pathetically grateful to Mrs. Northwester for recently, it's her purchase last week of History without the Boring Bits: A Curious Chronology of the World.

Nestled amongst the spare rolls, the Larson cartoon collections, the bellydance costume price lists and lingerie catalogues of Northwester House's smallest room, this enjoyable book offered up the following jewel of social history that's as true today as it was on the outbreak of the general European leg of World War Two.

In 1939 a contributor to the Country Diary in the Manchester Guardian opined, 'I cannot help thinking that if only Hitler had been an ornithologist he would have put off the war until the autumn migration was over.'

Now, I don't suppose that back then all (or even a bare majority of) Guardian writers actually believed any such nonsense literally: at least not any any more than most of our rulers literally believe that all the alleged signs of so-called global warming are true and that all the contrary indications are false and that this disaster is mostly due to human industry releasing the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and that this has led to unprecedented increases in world temperatures and habitat and species loss and that we're heading towards ever-greater climactic calamity and that the only way with which this ongoing disaster can be averted is through a complex and colossally expensive restrictions of the western world's industry by reducing carbon emissions and that this will work and that it won't reduce us to penury even if it does.

It does however illustrate a point about Left-liberal thinking.

It's the if-only technique of misdiagnosing evil.

This is how it works. Many liberals are, in my experience, so far up their own internal dialogues that they start and end their understanding of, and prescriptions for, the state of the world from a personal and inward-looking perspective. Thus the sufferings of a handful of much-publicised poets in the trenches of World War One invalidated the whole project of trying to keep a balance of power on the Continent and opposing Prussian militarism. Likewise, the failure of certain sensitive in the Eleven Plus exam means the entire structure and value of selective education in general and the grammar schools in particular must be brought crashing down, with hilarious consequences. Similarly, rare or frequent cruelties endured by some schoolchildren from the hands and canes (and sometimes worse) of certain churchmen and a few nuns means that all religious education must be bad: wicked, distorting, unnatural and worthless. Ditto corporal punishment: two for the price of one here, according to the Left's elite spetsnaz Moron Divisions. Thus, the hurt that especially malevolent people do is in fact the result of hurts that they themselves have suffered. It's unhistorical in many cases, and morally and psychologically untrue, but simple, simplistic, and avoids the painful necessity of further thought or having to contemplate doing something utterly distasteful and necessary; such as behaving like conservatives - or at least as responsible adults.

If only ( or as it is pronounced in my late Dear Father's native Bristol accent- 'fony ) is the prayer of a child wishing for the magical get-out; the spell that will unspill the milk, or the time machine that can take him back to the moment before he pushed his little sister into the nettles.

Thus, 'fony Hitler's modest demands in Europe had been handled more sensitively then his anger at the Versailles Treaty would have been appeased and he's have become a more sensitive an with time fro twitching all kinds of later unpleasantness would have been avoided.

'fony the Israelis would tear down the 'Wall' and stop building settlements on 'Palestinian' lands, then all that 'militancy' would end.

'fony poor people were given a decent minimum income and proper housing, most crime would disappear overnight and we could skip through the wardrobe door to a magical land of fauns and talking beavers (sigh), and everything would be all cool and froopy.

Look how so much that could be said and should be said was left unsaid (or unacknowledged by the mainstream media and the political establishment of the inter-war years until it was way too late) because that would mean that the nursery has to be left behind. Hitler's territorial ambitions and his loathing of freedom and foreigners and Jews came from a background more complex and deeper than the mere fact of Imperial Germany's defeat and the humiliating provisions of Versailles. Centuries of Christian anti-Semitism and the social engineering of creating the Junker class; a decade or more of lacklustre performances by the Weimar Republic's mainstream political parties and their frail or absent commitment to democracy sand freedom; 19th Century romantic nationalism and it accompanying pseudo-scientific racial 'classifications'; the economic incompetence of Germany's inflationary policies and the Wall Street crash; the genuine and rational fear of the already genocidally bloodthirsty Communist empire to the East; plus an inferiority complex a yard wide amongst Germany's Right-wingers and the popular culture that served them – all produced the vile and potent brew of Nazism – and the millions who endorsed it. Not to mention that in the immense complexity of human nature and the variety of its manifestations, some people just seem to be born bad and are therefore willing to hurt others for power and prestige and fun irrespective of the consequences to themselves and others.

It's in those millions that the 'fony theory shows its greatest weakness. Curiously for those believers who usually suggest collectivist and massive 'solutions' to the world's ills, Left-liberals often seem to believe that malefactors are few in number, and therefore their motivations are easy to understand, and so are easy to appease or bribe or convince.

But evil grows in the mass; over decades or generations or centuries of wrong-headedness and ideological convictions which are so constituted that the endless liberal project of rearranging the world better so the naughtiest of us will play nice. His is how the anti-Semitic liberals justify their hatred of Israel's self-defence against Hezbollah and Hamas; if only this concession and that were given, then 'the leaders' would give up their bellicose ways and peace would reign in the Middle East for the first time since the Upper Cretaceous.

But 'the leaders' come from somewhere, and if liberal don't notice when some Islamists say they're happy that Israel exists because its foundation gathered many Jews together because it will save them the trouble of going throughout the whole world to find and kill them as per centuries if Islamic hatred of Jews.

Such people don't have an upset that can be assuaged and thus make their antagonism go away. They aren't hurt as such (though they are usually abused by brainwashing from birth) , and are often happy with their hatreds and beliefs. There's nothing to kiss better.

These 'fony warriors aren't the fudamentalist hardcore Leftists that already hate any friend of America's, or any country on our side in the Cold War, or any country whose existence and suffering demonstrate (to say the least ) weaknesses in the multicultural project, and who thus work their way backwards from those conclusions and who find justifications of their refusal to allow civilisation to defend itself.

These are the ones who want a quiet life, and in their semi-honest way they hope that a band-aid on a sucking wound will do the job, and let's spend the defence budget on day care centres and better welfare entitlements. Strangely, these are the near enemy that it's possible to turn into allies – and one reason why I blog and hammer on about these thoughts about the world's evildoers so repetitively. Remember, it used to be that Left-liberals allied themselves with Western conservatives to resist Soviet hegemony and helped our side to win the Cold War.

If only we can repeat this message more, we might find our numbers growing. It worked for Hitler and Mohammed, so why not for us?

Semper doh

Blood will flow.

One of the 'facts' about which we are assured by those wise rulers who seek to censor our freedom of speech about the darkest aspects of Islam as it is actually practised in much of the world is this: if we should so much as point out that, for example: Islamist Muslims really are taught to despise the rest of humanity; or to indicate that Koran, Sira, and Hadith contain numerous examples of hostile and downright lethal injunctions to Muslims to wage undending warfare on the rest of Mankind with the intent to subjugate us; or that the present violent acts of Islamist Muslims are motivated by those parts of Islam about which we are not to discuss, then brutal, bloody, and unreasoning vengeance will generally break out as mobs of unbelievers; inflamed by our mentioning these truths, seek to punish any and all Muslims, irrespective of their beliefs, morality, motives or general law-abiding behaviour.

Geert Wilders was excluded from Britain in case his discussion of Islamism in the Netherlands should lead to outbreaks of Islamophobic vigilantism in the UK.

Mark Steyn was taken to the kangaroo court of the Ontario Human Rights Commission for articles critical of some aspects of Islam and was witch-hunted and found guilty in advance, whilst being the first ever defendant not to be formally condemned by that insane body and was variously defended and maligned by its officials thus: "There was no hearing, no evidence presented and no opportunity to offer a defence — just a pronouncement of wrongdoing." The OHRC defended its right to comment by stating, "Like racial profiling and other types of discrimination, ascribing the behaviour of individuals to a group damages everyone in that group. We have always spoken out on such issues. Maclean’s and its writers are free to express their opinions. The OHRC is mandated to express what it sees as unfair and harmful comment or conduct that may lead to discrimination."

Today's demonstration by the English branch of Stop The Islamification of Europe has attracted similar 'fears' of knuckle-dragging racists as 'anti-fascist' UAF and Islamists misrepresent its members as being. Last time, the anti-Islamification protest was called off by the organsiers for fear of harm to the police, but the violence went on anyway, which only left one source of rioting and bigotry.

Now, despite all those dire warnings of massive and vicious persecution of innocent Muslims by individuals inflamed by the very mention of Islam's scriptural cruelties and historical and present oppressiveness, what hasn't happened is widescale or even small-scale mosque burnings; hangings; or beatings of Muslims in the West (except perhaps by their enraged male relatives) as a result of this talk. Nor as a result of the gloating pronouncements of Islamists about our foreign policy. Nor for harrassment against Western troops. Nor for calling for the murders of Britain's colourful artistic temperament community. Nor for attempted terrorism. Nor for successful terrorism.

There have been some beatings, it seems; but we may never know what motivated that attack, but not the holocaust we're always promised every time someone quotes the murky passages of the Koran or from Islamists' own words and deeds or publish pictures or writing about Islam and Muslims.

Hey guys, are we Islamophobic hate-mongers not trying hard enough or what?

You know what? This is all so insulting. Insulting to the Muslims who find scriptural reasons to question the violent and brutal aspects of Islam and oppose its practices. Insulting to the Muslims who ignore the dark stuff and peacefully get on with their lives regardless of it. Insulting to the rest of us who are quite capable of discriminating between the killer crazies and the Muslims who work in our hospitals and colleges and supermarkets and schools and restaurants and shops and who just want to take whatever comfort and salvation they can from their faith.

The 'Don't mention the Jihad' argument has more holes in it than a, well, you know.

And if talking about it is bad enough, what bloodthirsty massacres will follow the Swiss'vote refusing to allow any more minarets to be built in their country.

Let's just wait here for the claret to rain down over the Alps at the hands of us killer infidels, yeah?

Just sitting here.

Waiting.

Any time now.

It's going to be scary, you betcha.

Gobble! Gobble! 13th December it is!

Who could be wiser even than me?

And yeast? And Betamax enthusiasts?

It seems that some of the Rabbis of North West London are opposed to a group which is itself opposed to the political and cultural triumph of Islam.

Yes, that Islam.

Ladiezz an’ gennermen, I give you live (still) from Harrow way down south in Norf West Landan: the Amazing Intelligent Rabbis.

Rabbis attack Harrow anti-Muslim campaign

Leading community members in Harrow have condemned anti-Muslim campaigners planning a protest in the borough this weekend.

A letter signed by rabbis Aaron Goldstein, Hillel Athias-Robles, Kathleen Middleton, Frank Dabba Smith, and Michael Hilton has offered support for the borough's Muslims.

In an attack on “those whose only purpose is to spread hatred and fear”, they wrote: “We share the desire of the Muslim community of Harrow to respect our mutual traditions, to learn from each other's cultures and ways of life, and to live together in peace.”

The rabbis represent Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue, Middlesex New Synagogue, Harrow and Wembley Progressive Synagogue, and Kol Chai Hatch End Jewish Community.

The group, Stop Islamisation of Europe, is planning a protest outside the mosque in Station Road on Sunday.

The show of unity from the Jewish community is in defiance of a website appeal by SIOE for 1,000 Jews carrying the Israeli flag to turn up.

If you think that Stop The Islamification Of Europe is racist/fascist/Nazi, then you can look here and make up your own mind - about their public face at least.

You don’t have to have read either or both of the Left’s prescribed books to realise how Nazi anti-Semitism arose on the streets of Germany, and so I can see how Jewish groups might not want ethnic-based politics anywhere near their homes. Fair enough; it could be (you should excuse the expression) a genie they don’t want let out of the lamp. It would also make sense if standing up against SIOE(UK) allowed or encouraged local ‘moderate Muslims’ to feel secure; happy about their Jewish neighbours; and encouraged to stand up in turn against their own ‘extremists.’ Question; does anyone out there capable of using formal polysyllables believe that this is a likely result?

I don’t know what the Yiddlish expression for as asinine as an ant at an aardvark assembly is, but this lot deserve it.

This, however, seems to be yet another case when mainstream Jewish bodies cast their eyes humbly away from the bedrock anti-Semitism at the core of Islam, and risk encouraging that vile aspect of the ideology that threatens us all.

Here, for example, is freedom of speech hero Ezra Levant on Canadian ‘official’ Jews supporting a Muslim anti-Semite:

Last week, I pointed out that Calgary's Official Jews invited notorious anti-Semites to co-sponsor a Jewish rally against anti-Semitism.

I know, it sounds too strange to be true. But it is.

One of those Jew-haters is Syed Soharwardy, a vicious, anti-Semitic bigot who trivializes the Jewish Holocaust, spreads blood libels against the Jewish Talmud, says Israel is perpetrating a Holocaust of its own against Palestinians, publicly calls for sharia law to be implemented in Canada, and participated in a pro-terrorist rally in the Jewish neighbourhood of Calgary, replete with a flag of Hezbollah.

I first came to know this odious man up close, when he hauled me before the Alberta human rights commission for publishing the Danish cartoons of Mohammed. Before that, the little thug actually tried to have me arrested by the Calgary Police Service for publishing those cartoons, as if we were back in his beloved Saudi Arabia, where the police take care of the infidels.

Syed Soharwardy is anti-Semitic scum.

Calgary's Official Jews freaked out when I publicized the words and deeds of this bigot, because they had so publicly cast their lot in with him. Some of the OJs wrote public comments on on my blog, and others wrote to me directly. All of their comments were the same, in that they ignored Soharwardy's anti-Semitism, and instead railed against me for my criticisms. In other words, they weren't embarrassed that they were friends with Soharwardy. They were embarrassed that they were caught.

In the face of growing anti-Semitic violence such as this, and this little beauty, and this from the States, and you get the likes of Melanie Phillips having to admit that the officials are cowardly or absent altogether even in defence of Israel’s right to exist.

The officials seem to be clueless as to where this Islamic anti-Semitism comes from.

If only there were some kind of mechanical contraption that could provide speedy access to information from outside the narrow information sources shared by the mainstream media! It would be marvellous if dissenting information could thus be made available worldwide – and including to the Jewish leaders of Harrow.

Here are a couple of pieces that might create the tiniest possibility of the chance of clue potential appearing inside those brilliant, brilliant minds of Harrow.

By the late seventh century, and certainly by the eighth, Islamic ideas began to penetrate Europe, where they had a profound influence. European Christians, for example, began to think, for the first time, in terms of “Holy War,” an idea that would have been unthinkable in earlier centuries. There is strong circumstantial evidence that they began also to influence European thinking about the Jews.

Anti-Semitism of course preceded the rise of both Christianity and Islam; and Christianity itself had a long history of antagonism towards Jews well before the appearance of Islam. The antagonism was mutual, and Jewish leaders were in the early centuries as vociferous in their condemnation of Christianity as Christian leaders were of Judaism. Serious violence between the two groups was, however, uncommon; and the first real pogrom launched by Christians against the Jews in Europe did not happen until the beginning of the First Crusade, in 1096. But this was not the first pogrom against Jews in Europe; an event which occurred in Cordoba in Spain in 1011. This was followed by another outbreak of mass-murder in Granada in 1066. Neither massacre was carried out by Christians, however, but by Muslims.

And

Anti-Semitism in the Islamic world has often been attributed to the baneful influence of Christianity. Many analysts assert that the Islamic designation of Jews (as well as Christians) as “People of the Book” indicates a higher level of respect for them than was manifested by Christians who derided Jews as bestial “Christ-killers.” Journalist Lawrence Wright asserts in this vein in The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11:

Until the end of World War II … Jews lived safely—although submissively—under Muslim rule for 1,200 years, enjoying full religious freedom; but in the 1930s, Nazi propaganda on Arabic-language shortwave radio, coupled with slanders by Christian missionaries in the region, infected the area with this ancient Western prejudice [anti-Semitism]. After the war, Cairo became a sanctuary for Nazis, who advised the military and the government. The rise of the Islamist movement coincided with the decline of fascism, but they overlapped in Egypt, and the germ passed into a new carrier.

This is a common view, but in reality there is a strong native strain of anti-Semitism in Islam, which is rooted in the Qur’an. The Muslim holy book contains a great deal of material that forms the foundation for a hatred of Jews that exists independently of the Christian variety. It is also, in many ways, more virulent and harder to eradicate. The Qur’an portrays the Jews as the craftiest, most persistent, and most implacable enemies of the Muslims—and there is no Muslim equivalent of the Second Vatican Council to mitigate against destructive interpretations. The Qur’anic material on the Jews remains the prism through which far too many Muslims see the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—and Jews in general—to this day.

It’s complex, it’s long, and it’s – what’s the expression?- nuanced. But it’s a thousand times more clued in than the Jews of Harrow, who do remind me of mice protesting against the speying of feral cats, and who seem to see only people demonstrating on their streets as a threat – and not, perhaps, part of the salvation that we all need.

And that includes the heroic majority of Muslims who aren’t interested at all in changing our country into a hell-hole of Middle Eastern corruption and cruelty.
