Expect The Reaper

Didn't get much chance to blog or surf yesterday or to read anything but the headlines on the dead tree press at service station shops. One tabloid headline was something like 'a disgrace to humanity', and the Telegraph's front page article stated that Nick Griffin used his place on Question Time to 'attack Islam.'

I'd like to know how many airliners full of commuters, cars full of explosives and NHS doctors or rockets he used to attak Islam.

The BNP is largely the creation of the political class in general and the New Labour core in particular.

As Labour abandoned its working class roots for a rainbow coalition led by middle-class cultural Marxists and encouraged formerly civilised banks to prey upon the natural acquisitiveness of human beings by abandoning Mr. Major's financial controls, our rulers - with their typical sense of humour - allowed the EU to compel an open doors immigration policy on Her Majesty's County Council regarding the Continent and practised a de facto one regarding the rest of the world, to conduct endless experiments with intrusive and job-destroying legislation, to raise a worthless, workless mob over those men and women who still seek to support themeslves and feed their own families, degraded every national symbol of unity, cohesion, and pride, defamed any criticism of the project as tantamount to genocidal xenophobia, and at the same time contrived to install every centrifugal force into 'national' assemblies in all but the English heartland, and expected...what?

And as for the rest of the jokers; our PC political class, what of them?

The Tories are so enthralled to bending over in the shower for their Etonian dictator that they sat meekly by as he sacked an ex-army officer for the temerity of suggesting that some black recruits use their race as an excuse for underperformance in basic training. He elevated Baroness Warsi as his spokesperson on why British soldiers are terrorists... And as for the 'Liberal' 'Democrats....' Well, they just go along for the ride as far as I can tell.

National bankruptcy matters. Immigration matters. Nationhood matters. British customs, laws and morals matter. To people.
But for the jokers - only their collectivist, post-moral 'morality' matters.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

Parkinson's heart

Rubber-gloved cleaners at BBC News Online must have been busy last night with the Mr. Muscle in their Forth Bridge task of dusting, drying and polishing the glass-topped tables used by the authors of this little gem.

Win for Labour in key by-election

Labour has kept control of Barnsley Council after retaining a key ward in a by-election.

Roy Butterwood received 1,520 votes to take the St Helens ward seat and maintain the party's majority of one.

BNP candidate Lisa Brooksbank came second, receiving 590 votes in the election, which recorded a 31% turnout.

Barnsley Council leader Steve Houghton said the result was "tremendous" but that Labour had a lot of hard work to do before next year's general election.

Britain’s special needs Prime Minister will be grateful to hear that if epic understatement in the face of abject humiliation is the electoral campaign formation that will revive the Labour Party’s electoral fortunes, then Steve Houghton is bold Leonidas and the Barnley Labour Party his brave Three Hundred.

ST HELENS BY-ELECTION RESULT

Roy Butterwood, Labour: 1520

Lisa Brooksbank, BNP: 590

Daniel Clive Pickering, Barnsley Independent Group: 171

Neil Robinson, UKIP: 94

Clive Watkinson, Conservative: 89

Eddie Gouthwaite, Liberal Democrat: 78

Turnout = 31%

Total votes cast 2542

Labour plus BNP votes cast 2110

Let’s do some non-climate change model maths with this, shall we?

I know, I know: the richly-funded private schools have all the best teachers and physics, plus superior literature and arithmetic and so they monopolise the Laws of Thermodynamics, Shakespeare, and 2+2=4, whereas those of us unlucky enough to be educated in the state sector have to use poor and ineffective substitutes (as all exam results throughout the land show every single year) such as: bad teachers; the Phlogiston Theory; The Collected Tracy Beaker and 2+2=fuckoffmiss, but we’ll do what we can regardless.

The BNP got 38% as many votes as Labour. BBC to English translation – assuming that the independents, Tories and Glib Dems were largely middle class, then 27% of Labour’s hardcore and founding demographic out voted for the Nationalists.

The BNP received 23% of the total vote.

23 out of hundred Barnsley folk willing to get off the sofa this time did so for a party that rejects immigration and immigrant values, abhors Labour’s non-punishment criminal justice system, and Labour’s willingness to spill British blood in far-off countries of which (I’d guess) many Barnsley folk know rather too much.

When asked if he thought the BNP might have won, Mr Butterwood said: "They thought there was a good chance of increasing their result and reducing the majority.

"I'm sure they're very disappointed with the result."

At this point the BBC journalist’s mobile credit ran out and so he/she was unable to pursue the truth of the matter all the way to the second most successful a candidate. He/she must have been similarly devastated not to be able to interview the trounced candidate of the national party most likely to form the government of, and agree to the design of postage stamps for, the nuclear armed county council that is the government of the UK region of Europe next year. Still, nice to end up with the one and only quotation as anti-BNP and from the mouth of the Labour victor.

The vote followed the death of David Bostwick earlier this year.

Labour, which held nearly all the seats in Barnsley in 1997, would have lost overall control of the council for the first time since the 1930s if it had not retained the seat.

BBC to English translation: This is a place where traditionally they don’t count Labour votes: they weigh them, but you need to chuck about a quarter of the votes into the box labelled by the managed media and the national Westminster parties as ‘Evil Incarnate.’

So, from not existing in 1981 to owning one of the four chambers of Barnsley’s working class heart, that’s not bad going for the BNP.

The Tories got to play the part of the dumb, flat-chested co-ed blonde to the chainsaw-wielding maniac of the white working class as usual in Milltown’s Inferno, and the Liberal Democrats were her plain-Jane brunette room-mate who almost makes it back to the house after getting her insulin from the station wagon in the next scene. I’m sorry to say that my own favoured UKIP barely got the rusty old shotgun loaded before a pair of gauntleted hands flung them to the ground in the penultimate reel.

These numbers won’t translate nationwide of course as Barnsley was until recently a political monopoly where the other national parties with Westminster representation just don’t make it ever. It’s that kind of town.

But still and all, even with first-past-the-post still the norm in proper British elections, what this says for Labour’s standing in its own heartlands is not something about which the BBC cares to speculate.

And as to why the BNP did so well; nary a dicky-bird.

The rest is £800,000,000 per year BBC silence.

The piper picks the tune. A pickle.

From the still-sometimes-sound Telegraph:

Asylum seekers who should have been deported from the country cost £73 million to house and feed last year, new figures have disclosed.

Almost 10,000 failed asylum seekers received an average of £150 a week in accommodation and food allowances while they appealed against deportation.

Ministers have admitted the significant increase in costs borne by the taxpayer – almost 20 times the £4 million spent four years ago – is due to a large backlog of failed claimants, who cannot be removed despite judges ruling they have no right to stay here.

Who should be preventing this?

Phil Woolas, Immigration Minister, has blamed lawyers for "playing" the system and delaying deportation by arguing that their clients cannot be returned to their homelands because of conflict or because they are unwell.

Not being the BBC, the Telegraph got a second - and contrary - opinion.

But the Refugee Council, which provides advice to asylum seekers, said that the heart of the problem lay with the Home Office for running a process that is "under-resourced" and plagued with "administrative problems".

Wow, the Refugee Council – sounds like they know their stuff, right? Must be on the up-and-up, cushty, kosher, on the level, and definitely playing the game.

Just so you know who profits by helping illegal immigrants stay here and help our native born chavs bleed us white, ahem.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere’s Johhny:

The Refugee Council ipses.

The Refugee Council in Wikipedia.

And the Refugee Council in Fake Charities.

Note that funding in FC….

Its 2007/08 accounts show a total income of £18,820,000, of which:

* Border & Immigration Agency: £12,881,000

* Leeds City Council: £221,000

* Barnsley City Council: £175,000

* Norfolk County Council: £138,000

* Dept. of Health: £50,000

* ---

* Total £13,465,000 (71.5% of all income)

It received a further £163,000 from the Lottery.

Let’s strip that down a bit, shall we? Back to basics, sort of thing.

Its 2007/08 accounts show a total income of £18,820,000, of which: Border & Immigration Agency: £12,881,000

...a total income of £18,820,000, of which: Border & Immigration Agency: £12,881,000

...Border & Immigration Agency: £12,881,000

…Immigration Agency: £12,881,000

…Immigration : £12,881,000

So there is a Government agency which was set up to deal with the cost and inconvenience caused by failed asylum seekers to those of us who are already rightfully dwelling in Britain.

They are supposed to fulfil this task by finding and removing people who should not be living here and consuming scarce public resources after their appeals fail.

This self same organisation funds a pan-European- and UN-mandated agency whose task it is to help keep those people living here and consuming said scarce public resources.

Let’s just forget for a moment whether I’m right to care about immigration or if I’m just all darkly hot and racistly-bothered and aching to feed Sudanese babies back into the maw of the evil Quaker Janjaweed militia. Let's just concentrate on the UK Border Agency having a job to do,and being supposed to do that job. I mean, you wouldn't trust an organisation tasked to increase educational standards and to teach children well which year in year out produced less well-qualified children despite ever-lower standards of attainment, would you? That'd just be crazy, right?

This is about honesty in government.

I may have noticed a problem of separation of powers here, or is it conflict of interest? Is isn’t there just a tiny possibility of some kind of inter-agency corruption, mission-creep and going native or going immigrant, or something in this?

Or is this New Labour’s famous joined-up government?

68% of the annual budget of an outfit tasked to help keep some people in is from the outfit whose job is to keep them out or to remove them if they are here wrongly.

Just a thought or two so liberals and socialists can see the problem in their own terms, okay.

If a pro-contraception and abortion charity financed a pro-life evangelical church to the extent of 68% of its annual budget how enthusiastic about contraception and abortion would you trust the charity to be, and what would the trend in the charity’s provision of the pill and abortions be do you think?

If an anti-alcohol charity financed a distillery to the extent of 68% of its annual budget how enthusiastic about moderation or abstention would you trust the charity to be, and what would the trend in the charity’s drying-out success rate for its clients be do you think?

If an anti-racism charity financed a theatre company called Whites Only to the extent of 68% of its annual budget, how enthusiastic about toleration and diversity would you trust the charity to be, and what would the trend in multiracial happiness be do you think?

I tried to test this suspicion by turning it around and asking myself if the keep them in brigade took money from the chuck them out gang, then wouldn’t you expect the keep them in brigade to be corrupted by its funding, and fail or at least start to fail in its key mission? Who pays the piper picks the tune?

So the Border & Immigration Agency must be doing the Refugee Council into the ground and shoving the huddled masses back onto the boats and planes round the clock, huh? You think?

Baaaaarrpp!

Instant fail.

It’s time for you to leave the Big Government House.

This is liberal Britain so do not fear, o sojourner from the Port Side.

Here’s the UKBA’s success rate for 2007.

Table 1 Applications for British citizenship received and decided in the United Kingdom,1997- 2007

2007 160,980 164,635 15,630 9%

Wow. That’s, like, a nine in ten chance of staying here if you ask for it.

Back to the frothing rabid unreasoning racism, my public probity point having been made.

To be fair, not all of these are asylum seekers – a majority of those lose their applications and their appeals – see pages 11 and 12 of this.

But asylum isn’t everything – these are grants of settlement – this time on page 19 of it.

That’s more like it

Here are the Home Office Immigration and Asylum Statistics. Read ‘em and weep.

I especially invite you to look the first page of this.

One thing still puzzles me, Inspector, and that’s where the hell did all those UKIP and BNP votes come from?

Chalk. Cheese. Semtex.

The BNP cheats.

Its supporters don’t wear sinister uniforms or flaunt evil-looking flags. They don’t disrupt pubic meetings as far as I know or try to intimidate democratically elected representatives of the people. Their local activists would be called ‘community leaders’ if they belonged to any other community than the white majority.
If their famous race war is being planned in secret then it’s a damn well-kept secret, though some comment posters on some of their blogs look pretty bloody iffy even to my frothing-at-the-mouth, gun-me-down-like-a-rabid-dog Right-wing eyes.

No matter. I’m angry about this and so I’m going to labour the point two days running. Let’s forget the candidates themselves, their party and their policies real and imagined. Let’s read those numbers again.

The number of people voting BNP across the UK as a whole went up slightly, from 808,201 to 943,598 in the European elections, but went down slightly in the two regions where it gained MEPs, with the party benefitting from a collapse in the Labour vote.
They won 6.2% of votes, compared with 8.6% for the Green Party, 13.7% for the Lib Dems, 15.7% for Labour, 16.5% for the UK Independence Party and 27.7% for the Conservatives.

943,598 legally resident, fully-enfranchised British subjects cast their votes in a properly-run secret ballot for a legal organization whose candidates were not even in jail and on hunger strike or calling for the deaths of British soldiers or anything in the trusting and perhaps naĆÆve faith that their own humanity mattered enough that their choices would be respected in the same way as the candidates of all the other parties would insist on being respected despite their recent financial and legislative records.

Apparently, someone has decided that this is not the case. They aren’t real people or proper people and their tribunes can be physically attacked and prevented from public speaking with immunity.
And who decided this?

Well, the Labour Party, for starters – two of whose supporters I work with closely, and who yesterday expressed delight that Nick Griffin had been egged. Discussing this, I asked whether it would have been even more democratic if the missiles had been stones, or petrol bombs or grenades.
This point missed their brains by several million realities, it seems, and they went on to discuss what a child had thought when he asked an adult what the man had done wrong. One colleague replied ‘Nothing, yet.’
The other one's making sure, I suppose, that the child in question knows which elected officials it’s going to be OK to attack and presumably with which weapons and weapon systems. That old Colorado Beetle's got a lot to answer for.
If I’d suggested that we should egg people whose parties and fellow ideologues have recently killed and are still killing actual civilians and British soldiers, they’d have been all over me like a cheap suit.

I’m grateful to my colleagues for their words, though.

Previously I’d been finding it difficult to identify the fascists.

Evil Britain Top Ten. And hope.

Good afternoon poop-pickers.

Welcome to the Coprolite Hit Parade, sponsored by Gramsci & Rousseau: Evil Stupid Ideas For All Occasions and Nations, brought to you at knock-down prices just like the stock-market, and they’re practically cutting their own throats to do it for us.*

Evil.

Ranting Stan starts the ball rolling at Number Ten with a heart-warming tale of how Britain’s justice system is still a world leader in keeping innocent gangs of hooligans safe from marauding Daily-Mail reading curtain-twitching haters of homosexuals, women and Jews (but not those who do so in a nice way such as the Islamists; with poetry and tradition and God on their side). Fortunately for those who care deeply about civil liberties and the rights of young people, this evil householder and taxpayer is now dead and therefore unable to use the special Tory magnet that draws violent criminals into the houses of the citizenry so they can be persecuted by the judgemental and privileged Thatcherite ruling elite.

An equally welcome visitor to the Top Ten is Laban Tall whose ever-vigilant eyes and nimble fingers continue to discover things about our country’s everyday life which much of the multi-billion mainstream media fails to bring to our national leaders’ attention as something worth changing, or at least doing something right about with existing laws.

Here’s a tale of everyday multiculturalism and torture and the Paddington Hard Stare that our wonderful judiciary gives even to impish scallywags such as these. And here's a story he found to thrill the thrifty souls of any Council Tax payer who fears that local government is squandering its very own money on idle foolishness rather than delivering the essential services that we all depend upon to survive. Now I don’t know if the innocent morons X and Y are either mongs, flids, spasbos or crips, but I’m guessing the torture and threats of death might have penetrated even the most fuddled of consciousnesses as something worth avoiding, but the vigilant Master of the Rolls has saved a packet of cash for the deeply caring and delightfully diverse councillors of that paragon of gentle justice, the London Borough of Hounslow. I’m sure they did their best. Oh, and know for sure that should someone remonstrate with you for nipping ahead at the Sainsbury’s tills because you only have a bottle of milk and the cash ready, then the full force of the law in all its majesty will fall upon your murderers like…a feather? Gentle spring rain? A child’s innocent laughter?

Straight in at Number Eight is newcomer to TJ.AT? Edwin Greenwood, whose Dogwash post here will inspire all fair-minded people who wish the best for the multicultural society and worry about the eyesight of people in that part of London. A point I’d like to add is that for some reason I don’t expect Sikhs to be getting onto London Transport vehicles any time soon with explosives to protest about the illegal occupation of ‘Palestine’ and the West’s rapacious desire for Middle Eastern oil.

Funny, that.

EU Referendum points out that (amid the flim-flam men of G20 and their possible Dutch auction of all our liberties to a nascent World Government and the Leftie hordes whose high-spending, state-controlling, welfare-benefit-expanding bidding they have in fact been doing for donkeys’ years but without satisfying them) the British National Party came second in a top-secret bye-election in Temple Newsam in Leeds - unbeknownst to everyone including our multi-billion pound mainstream media and our vigilant Political Class, and that they are consistently polling at 20% nationwide, though I’m guessing they don’t do so well in the Celtic Fringe. The thought that the National Front’s successor can regularly garner double figure percentages of the electorate would have been unthinkable, say; oh, I don’t know…eleven years and eleven months ago: especially to very the people who made it possible.

Tip; they still aren’t thinking about it, so it’s not really real. So that’s alright, then.

Harry’s Place (not currently involved in a mutual love-in with the BNP) gives us a clue about why this 20% might have come about, and why a certain national government [or is that a certain nuclear-armed County Council belonging to the EU? I can never remember which it is] STILL has no clue what it’s facing in political Islam.

Hit Number Five is Stan again, laying it down, voicing what many of us social conservatives would want to happen had we a time machine and a hit-squad of crack Burkean ninjas ready to go back to 1945 or so and make some alterations to the top echelons of certain national institutions…

Just outside the Top Three is Sue, the Hercules Poirot of our continent’s pathology. The little grey cells have found a vital clue – O happy day ! – a professional journalist who says it to a readership of millions about the new caste-system of the statist aristocracy and their courtiers, shamen and priests of the three main parties at the top, and the fast-breeding underclass army which supports them with ever-present threats of violence below, and the productive and law-abiding middling orders in between.

But all is not lost dear reader; far from it.

The next three bloggers brought refreshing and pleasing joy to my heart when I read them this week: joy as when unexpected springtime showers fall on a day when the womenfolk had dressed for sunshine.

Hope.

I suspect that the Top Three might be uncomfortable around one another: each having a different set of prescriptions for what might be done to deal with all this.

Despite that they clearly cherish our civilization and its customs, work within its rules and conventions, even as they wish to change it for the better by their own lights. I’m closest to Number Two but for reasons I’ll explain later I’m inspired by all three.

Number Three is Cherry Pie whose writings about our world, our culture, and our species show that she believes all of them to contain much good; good to which she draws our attention, celebrates and wishes us preserve and improve if we can. Freedom. Democracy. Gotta use and love those treasures whilst we still have some of each.

In the Number Two Spot is my fellow conservative (I think) and my fellow supporter of Christendom (I’m sure) - Rob. He bids us read more of the great Roger Scruton, and why he thinks our civilization is worth protecting, why Islam hates and fears it, and points us to two ways in which we are strong enough to protect it. All of the Top Three are involved in this struggle, and though the methods and viewpoints are as far apart as the can be and consciously stay within the civilization itself.

I’ve been slandered and libelled as a racist and fascist too way too frequently off and on for thirty years now, and so I give exactly the respect to the ‘anti-racist’ and ‘anti-fascist’ Left that it deserves when it tries to circumscribe what I read and whom I might believe.

Top of the Posts is Red Squirrel. Red Squirrel is a BNP member and part of that scattered 20% of our country’s electorate which holds the big three parties in utter contempt and has a very strong idea, to say the least, of how to express that contempt.

I think that political bloggers (mostly) tell the truth about themselves and their beliefs when they blog, and I certainly believe that this is so in her case. She clearly regrets that her party can’t enrol the likes of the patriotic Tamil postman Deva Kumarasiri, and for good reasons.

So I hope you will not avoid reading her post for fear that evil fascists are trying to steal your heart and open-mindedness away from conservatism or libertarianism or democratic socialism or whatever it is that you believe in, in order to drag you into some bannered, booted, and bullying future and that you’ll actually take a look because there’s a very important message to be found in the post.

Her G20 post here is not so different from the rants of despair and anger from libertarians and conservatives and others about the massive foulness that our Political Class has inflicted upon the people and state of Britain, and more widely onto the whole world. I don’t go in for the BNP’s trade protectionism and the old-fashioned socialism of its health service policies and the dirigisme of its domestic economics, but just look at what she’s railing against.

She expresses rawly and pungently the pain of what our rulers have inflicted, and fear of what they plan to further inflict on the majority of us in one way or another: and the economic and judicial destruction that unconstrained, rootless and above all unhistorical liberalism has inflicted on the former land of law-abiding, tolerant, loyal and patriotic subjects.

I don’t suppose that my many words of little wisdom will ever inveigle her or her friends to become conservatives but I’ve got to say that I recognize the loss and longing for a better past.

20% is a fair chink of our nation and a large number of souls whom Messers Brown and Obama plan to hurt still worse over the coming decades. What makes Christendom worth conserving it that it is supposed to respect and cherish (even when it fails so very badly sometimes) the feelings and freedoms of all its denizens.

Even heathens like me.

You say Gestapo, and I say GESTAPO

This from here.

A serving police officer named in a leaked list of British National Party (BNP) members has been sacked.

Pc Steve Bettley, of Merseyside Police, was included in the list of the far right party's entire membership register which was leaked on an internet blog.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "A Merseyside Police misconduct panel has dismissed Constable Steve Bettley after concluding he had knowingly been a member of the British National Party from March 2007 and up to March 2008."

The spokeswoman added: "In determining their findings, the panel confirmed there was no evidence that Pc Bettley had ever displayed any racist views or discriminatory behaviour in the workplace.

"The panel determined that Pc Bettley's membership of the BNP is a clear breach of lawful orders and police regulations as the party's views are incompatible with the duties and values of the Police Service."

Let's read that again, shall we?

"...the party's views are incompatible with the duties and values of the Police Service."

Here is the BNP's policies page.

Why not take a look? - it's not catching.

Now I'd like to know which of those policies is 'incompatible with the duties and values of the Police Service' , and why, and who decided that they are against what the police stand for.

Okay, you could make the argument that the British National Party is secretly a racist party - or not so secretly given what some of its leaders have said and some still say, in print and out loud. But there's nothing secret about the ill-will and brutal imperialism of the Koran, Hadith and Sira, and no Muslim police are sacked from the police for their beliefs. Of course, a majority of Muslims are law-abiding and peaceful, and so do not need to be sacked from the police. Likewise the vast majority of BNP members are law-abiding and peaceful I'm sure.

This sacking is the loss of livelihood for someone who has committed no crime, nor any professional misdemeanour - but that he has broken the politically-correct (cultural Marxist) ideological hegemony.

Instead of being politically neutral, our Police Service is now ruining peoples' lives (and wasting the cost to taxpayers of his training and that of his replacement and making our streets are less safe to the extent of the loss of one officer) by sharing and enforcing the ideology that has assaulted so much of our suffering nation and its ancient institutions.

They are wrong to have done so, and it is a threat to all our freedoms that this officer is dismissed.

Shame on them, and the leakers of the membership list. They won't feel ashamed, of course, they will be jubilant, but they represent one of our nations' powerful enemies.

But Britain holds on, being a constitutional monarchy and therefore to some degree a democracy.

Vetting public servants because of their beliefs should be done, if it should happen at all, by judicial review with objective assessment of what beliefs are and how they might effect the professionalism of each individual officer.

If applied, it should apply to all potentially or suspected ‘extremists.’

This has not been done - he's out because of his beliefs and that's that.

It's wrong. It’s not fair. It's against what our country stands for, and it should be opposed.

PC Bettley should be reinstated.

Home

I may lose at least one blog follower for this - the one with the bushy tail - but here goes.

I do not support the BNP or endorse them because I am a conservative, and as such I support the existing constitution - albeit one restored to its former, pre-EU and pre-Political Correctness good health, and the BNP presents reactionary, rather than conservative policies.

Conservatives should restore the previous arrangements - the BNP wishes to create something new to replace the cultural Marxist state and I mistrust their plans.

They plan new arrangements within the constitution and propose centralizing and statist economic policies which are typical of classical fascism (the historical ideology; let's forget about boots and black shirts and banners here.)

All that is against conservatism as I see it.
