In a world where dreamers know only nightmares... One post stands between life and perpetual night...
The first time... it was silly...
The second time it was good...
Next time...it could be art...
In a world where the jokers are destroying so much that's good, could we maybe spend a few minutes next Monday to celebrate a particular work of art; a film or a novel, a song, poem, sculpture or play that exemplifies something or other that we stand for, rather than blog against?
Thanks to the Internet even a link to - for example - the last battle scene of Zulu [hooray!], or the Amazon reviews of The 300, or reprint If or something else that upholds or demonstrates or even alludes to something we are actually in favour of, such as freedom or country or marriage or faith or courage.
So who's up to contribute one post in a week's time to celebrate something that's good and great in entertainment, art and culture; for example to compile a schedule for freedom's film festival, or to suggest titles for the fiction section of liberty's library, or a day's television to make Polly Toynbee cringe and Osama bin Laden weep in horror? Or just to highlight one particular beautiful, good and true work of grace and inspiration?
I suggest that we include works of fiction only, or fictionalized accounts of real events if you will.
Coming soon to a blog near you...
