That is why I never follow the news.

I just keep up to date with the headlines and discuss the issues with people who don't make the cheap irrelevant comments you usually see in the media.

Indeed. Better to stick to 'Coronation Street'.

Say, what happened to that last night..? ;)

I'm with the UN, all parties need to end the cycle of violence.

If only we had equality. He would have had to face people defending themselves.

But the call will be to clamp down more on gun ownership. Harder... harder... It'll work this time.

Welcome, friends, and thanks for your comments as always.

So, let's see... That's:

Two for wider gun ownership or freedom thereof;

two for ignoring our mainstream media when possible and going to someone trustworthy

;and one not-too-complimenatry reference to the world's most powerful pro racist genocidal war lobby.

You know, if only there were some way of harnessing all this good sense so that we could be goverenmed by people in possession of it we might just have a chance.

Never happen, unless we make it happen.

May I just (ever so tentatively) add that, in a country with proper gun control, someone would have shot the bastard before he finally turned his weapon on himself?

Or is that a bit NRA for the UK?

yes, you are officially crazy. If ordinary citizens were allowed to keep firearms legally then you'd get gun massacres all the time as in Switzerland and Canada.
Best to wait for 12 dead and hope that the shooter's stricken with self-disgust and kills himself... or wait for armed police to turn up and, er, bag the bodies.
