Asking for it

I see that the jokers are trying to push a new ‘disco’ website up the Google and Facebook ratings so those horrible proletarian oiks of the English Defence League can no longer expect their unacceptable expressions of free speech to be found on the first page or otherwise high on the listings when the search term ‘EDL’ is used.

At least when those views are no longer so easy to find, some of our feminist sisters will be safe in suburban dance halls or taxi-served nightclubs boogying the night away to ‘My Boy Lollipop’ by Millie while sex-education Koran-style is taught unchallenged in Nottingham and the streets of Tower Hamlets are kept safe from the Gay Terror., etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Or maybe they’ll open with ‘Silence is Golden,’ by the Four Seasons?

Muslim abuser who 'didn't know' that sex with a girl of 13 was illegal.

Muslim vigilante gang attacks.

Why, oh why, can’t we just all get along?

Oh, great post! But I feel compelled to point out that 'Silence Is Golden' was by the Tremeloes.

Why , thank you, Julia. And you are quite correct: the UK cover version was indeed by the Tremolos, bless them. However, the original song was the B side of 'Rag Doll.'

I dubbed myself North Northwester. Nowhere in there does it say that I'm not deeply sad with the music geekness ;-)

Well, goodness me! I never knew it WAS a cover version!

Claim to fame - the Tremeloes used to live next door to my parents flat before I was born :)

All true and then there's this Man of No Apparel:

Meanwhile, Cast Iron Dave is boldly going after 80 year old grandmothers who don't dig gay marriage.

Actually, DJ, I thought that the BBC not mentioning the appearance and possible origins of the attacker was some kind of once-in-a-lifetime statistical fluke.

Julia, your parents have indeed walked (or paid local taxes) with greatness.
