something for the weekend

Well, I’m off to the county which has been aptly described as The Spleen of Britain for the pre-Christmas present swapping with Tiny Northwester, plus her mother and her steady and her respectable second husband; a moisture farmer from Tatooine. I really must visit him at his place of work when Tiny is preparing to make her own way in the world.

I may or may not have access to a dear friend’s laptop this weekend, but willy-nilly I’m sure that you’ll all be beavering away like mad in my absence putting g the final touches to the festive season’s Winterval decorations and preparing in respectful silence for the Muslim holy month of 2010.

Just to introduce a friend of mine who’s just started blogging; Jaded Throne. Jade’s an honest Leftie and an English patriot and writes in a crisp, amusing and ironic style. So please consider taking a few moment from your busy schedules describing and defining the people who have managed in 12 short years to turn the Palace of Westminster into the political equivalent of Mos Eisley.

May the Farce be with you.

Mos Eisley - a wretched hive of scum and villainy - that's about as good a description as you'd get anywhere.

Thank you for the analogy.

As to leftie bloggers, even English patriots and in the season of goodwill, you read them if you want; I can find better things to do at my time of life.

It is still far too early to be thinking of Christmas. I have been avoiding the shops for weeks!

opsimath : welcome, and I'm so glad someone found the core quotation straight away.

CherryPie. Hello again. Sorry, but with the Checkpoint Charlie feel of divorced parents meeting somewhere between their new homes.. planning is all, I assure you.
